The Australia Alumni Association Bangladesh (AAAB) has distributed winter clothes among the cold-stricken people in Tolarbagh, the capital city. On Friday, January 12, at 5 p.m., more than a hundred blankets were handed over to the needy people of the area in a programme held at the Tolarbagh Social Welfare Organisation.
AAAB President Md. Abu Nasar Uddin, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Vice-President Commander Ershad Jan Chowdhury (Retd), General Secretary Fatema Jahan Sharna (Additional District and Session Judge), Joint Secretary Md. Mahboob Sobhani (Joint District and Sessions Judge), Research & Publication Secretary Dr. Mohammad Khurshid Alam (Principal Scientific Officer at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Event and Cultural Affairs Secretary Mst. Irin Parvin (Upazila Agriculture Officer), Executive Members Lopa Khan (Deputy Station Engineer of Bangladesh Betar), Tithi Sikder (Deputy Commissioner of Tax) and the members of the Tolarbagh Social Welfare organization were present at this time.
The President of the Australia Alumni Association Bangladesh (AAAB), Mr. Abu Nasar Uddin, said it is the moral responsibility to help the poor. The Australia Alumni Association Bangladesh (AAAB) is distributing winter clothes today among needy people as a humanitarian activity. He called upon capable individuals or organizations to become partners in reducing the suffering of the helpless people of society by extending humanitarian assistance according to their capabilities. He informed that more programs will be taken for the welfare of the needy including distribution of winter clothes on behalf of the association.
