
Farzana Chowdhury, CEO of Green Delta Insurance received the third prize at the ‘She Rockers MyEO Women Sustainable Development Goals Award 2019’ given by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Network – Bangladesh Chapter. EO is the only global network exclusively for entrepreneurs.
Other awardees were Monique Maissan (Shanghai; First Prize) and Neha Tulsian (Gurgaon, India; Second Prize). Nineteen women entrepreneurs were nominated for the award in recognition of their work on gender equality and women empowerment (SDG Number 5).
Farzana is an Australia Awards alumna (MBA, Monash University, 2002) and was the first — and youngest — woman to ever become a managing director and CEO in Bangladesh’s financial sector.
