The newly elected Executive Committee of the Australia Alumni Association Bangladesh (AAAB) successfully organised the event “Australia Alumni Evening: Towards Sustainable Networking” on November 25, 2016 at the Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM), New Eskaton, Dhaka. The Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Her Excellency Ms. Julia Niblett, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest where AAAB alumni, the Senior Secretary, Internal Resources Division (IRD) and Chairman, National Board of Revenue (NBR), Mr. Md. Nojibur Rahman and Vice Chancellor of the North South University Professor Atiqul Islam attended the event as Special Guests. The session began with a welcome speech by Mr. ABM Fakhruzzaman, General Secretary of the AAAB. Professor Dr. Biswas Karabi Farhana, an alumnus, conducted a knowledge mapping workshop for effective and sustainable contribution of the AAAB towards the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. At the end of the event, a new website for AAAB (www.aaabd.org) has been launched by the Australian High Commissioner. Finally, the president of the AAAB, Mr. Muhammad Saidur Rahman delivered a vote of thanks to all of the participants for joining and making the event successful.
